WTF does a Data Analyst Do?

Morning! This is In The Data, the newsletter that gives you tips and tricks from a Data Analyst every week.

You can think of this newsletter like the friend who is never afraid to let you know you have something in your teeth.

Yesterday was a good day, I accomplished a few things...

T H E B I G T H I N G

I was able to rewrite a SQL query in Tableau. This allowed the data to be pulled, separately depending on which view you are looking at.

As a Data Analyst you need to have these sort of skills in your tool belt... I am learning this the hard way.

O T H E R T H I N G S

• Writing code to pull in data into a Google Cloud Data base

• Providing summary information on the data in the database (When it was pulled, unique values, unique months, etc.)

In your work as a Data Analyst you can wear many hats, be prepared :)
